The Associate opportunity is designed for individuals who want to develop their own brokerage business while leveraging the market knowledge, industry relationships, reputation, and resources of HVS.

As an Associate, you will work as an independent contractor, building relationships with hotel owners, investors, developers, and other industry professionals while identifying opportunities to connect buyers and sellers. You will develop your knowledge of hotel investment sales while working alongside experienced HVS brokerage professionals and gaining exposure to hotel markets, valuation concepts, transaction strategy, and deal execution.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hotel owners, investors, developers, and prospective buyers
  • Prospect for new business and identify potential hotel sale opportunities
  • Research hotel properties, ownership groups, transactions, and market activity
  • Develop expertise in local and regional hotel investment markets
  • Participate in the preparation and marketing of hotel listings and investment opportunities
  • Build and maintain a network of prospective buyers and sellers
  • Participate in transaction activities and client communications
  • Develop your own pipeline and book of business
  • Conduct brokerage activities in accordance with applicable licensing requirements and HVS brokerage policies

Who We're Looking For
We are looking for entrepreneurial, self-motivated individuals who are interested in building a long-term career in commercial real estate and hotel investment sales. Strong candidates will be comfortable developing new relationships, initiating business conversations, conducting market research, and taking ownership of building their brokerage practice.

A background in hospitality, real estate, finance, business, sales, or a related field is preferred. Previous hotel brokerage experience is not required.

Compensation & Independent Contractor Status
This is a commission-based independent contractor opportunity and is not an employee position. Associates are responsible for developing and managing their own brokerage activities and are compensated based on commissions generated through brokerage transactions.

Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes and applicable business expenses and are not eligible for HVS employee benefits.

All licensed real estate brokerage activities are conducted under the supervision of the applicable HVS licensed broker and are subject to applicable state licensing requirements, HVS brokerage policies, and the terms of the individual's Independent Contractor Agreement.
